We’re back to full steam ahead with this week’s pre-order. And it’s all the C’s with new beers from Carolina’s FONTA FLORA, new Cask from VERDANT, Collabs from PASTORE, a Citra bomb from BARON AND Colin The Caterpillar from KEES

FONTA FLORA – Wowsers! We have limited beers from the superb North Carolina farmhouse brewery that constantly innovates with yeasts, adjuncts and process. How ltd? Like, get us on speed dial ltd.

VERDANT – Just when you thought they were all collab’d out they come through with another big hitter – this time with pale-brothers-in arms BEAK. AND did we mention Cask? Yes, we did – the first time out of Cornwall and into our hands – three different beers, first come, first served.

PASTORE – We bought MALTGARDEN over a while back. They came, they saw, they collab’d. The results are upon us and all on the pudding theme. Expect decadent delights with these pastry sours with ‘Pompelmo’ and ‘Limone’ re-stocked for the lovers of low ABV’s.

BARON – Three new whizzers and bangers from Baron on this order. Jacks tasting notes continue to amuse. On ‘Trumpet‘ ; ‘A dank and muggy sweatbox of herbal delights with Strata and Columbus offering up an obtrusive, hempy, bus shelter bouquet. In a good way of course. We’d never sell you tramps piss.

KEES – If you missed out on Colin The Caterpillar’s pre-order, fear not. We have some remaining cases and kegs available of this stonking pastry stout with several other dark & hoppy SKUs making the list too.

Featured Beers

🇺🇸 FONTA FLORA

If you’re looking for inspiration for your next beers then take a look at the meticulous detail that Fonta Flora put into theirs. Our pick from a very limited selection is their ‘Bubble Foot‘ hot rock inspired Saison – see how they made it here and their house ‘Dandy‘ Farmhouse pale ale – In their words, ‘Put simply, this is our island beer. This is the beer that got us into beer and the beer that keeps us drinking beer.’

🇳🇱 KEES

Colin’s back! But ssshh! Combining the best of both chocolatey worlds in this milk and white chocolate pastry stout, Kees have paid homage to the friendliest cake known to (wo)man. We also have ‘Barrel Project 2022 Pedro Ximenez’ – a  Barleywine aged for 6 months in PX barrels – pair that with a re-load of classic ‘Caramel Fudge‘ and you’ve got a strong offering from our Dutch renegade friends.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 PASTORE

Two super collabs from Pastore – one from our recent Maltgarden hosted visit and one with the beer sheriffs of Nottingham, Neon Raptor. The theme is ‘The Diplomat‘ – the flavour profile apeing classic Italian and British desserts. Expect a Plum & Amaretti Semifreddo Pastry Sour from Maltgarden and the classic Apple & Blackberry Crumble Pastry Sour from Neon Raptor.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 BARON

OK, so Jack’s bending the rules slightly this month as we add an extra beer to the list. It’s pales on parade, as we scale from a rocksteady aromatic 4% with ‘Skinny Feels‘, hit the middle ground with ‘Trumpets‘ at 5.8% – a cacophony of Cascade and Strata, before topping out with a Citra bomb in the form of ‘Claxon‘. Keg & Can available.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 VERDANT

Three new cask-conditioned beers from Verdant, travelling super fresh for the first time outside of Cornwall. Single hop varieties on these sessionable pale and golden ales that’ll fly out the door. We also have their much anticipated BEAK collab ‘It Is Forbidden‘. A single brew, so not masses produced so be quick if you want to snag a keg or case. Also features the new Yakima HBC 586 wunder hop that’s receiving much critical acclaim.
