Stop the press! As mentioned on our Insta feed we have two fabulous new imports from the US, courtesy of Michigans TRANSIENT and SPECIATION ARTISAN ALES…Sound the klaxon!

* ARPUS – First drop in several months from the Latvian legends – this one is coming in harder than Stone Cold Steve Austin – beautifully executed fruited sours and an OG West Coast pale banger – Pow!
* HOLY GOAT – New beer from Dundee’s finest – a perfect citrus led accompaniment to those long lazy, hazy summer days – get your ‘Summer Crusher‘ on.
* BURNING SKY – We have a trio of beers from the ever dependable farmhouse setup in Sussex. Check for the Saison Houblon – a crisp, repeatable, sunshine smasher…
* VERDANT – Re-brews and re-runs from the masters of the pale. ‘20 Watt‘ and ‘40 Watt‘ are back in stock – two amazing beers (there’s more…see the list) that see’s Strata & Citra dance the light fandango. Repeatable beers for your body and soul.
* THREE HILLS – Enough for a sooper fresh TTO here – five new iterations from Andy and his team inc. the Baby B.P.V.A.K. If you’re on the hunt for show stopping flavours across the spectrum from light to dark then step on up!

This Weeks Featured Releases
🇺🇸 TRANSIENT ARTISAN ALES
Not only do we have the utterly gorgeous Canuckley and Kentuckley from the Buckley range of annual imperial stouts – (as if all that whiskey, maple and bourbon BA wasn’t enough), we also have the ‘F— Walnut‘ Imperial Cream Stout and ‘Coconut Kamigoye‘ – another two incredible Impys to savour. All smashing the ratings 4.2+, these are world beating beers. Do not miss!
All we can say is that we’ve had a sample and all the beers are top knotch and deserve their lauded status. We also have two other beers from Transient – ‘Chestnut Lagger‘, a Helles Lager that has been lightly aged on Chesnut and ‘Wayward‘ a Bretted Pale that brings that discreet funk, extra body and mouthfeel to the pale party. 🇺🇸 SPECIATION ARTISAN ALES
The second of our US imports focuses on some serious (but accessible) fruited sour action from wild experts, Speciation. Focusing on ingredients of provenance, ‘Hopeful Monster‘ a foeder aged sour wheat ale, is packed with local Michigan Blackcurrants – some say jammy, some say dirty – we prefer a combination of the two. A totally natural flavour bomb for the fridges.
To compliment ‘Hopeful Monster‘ there’s also a v.ltd numbers of ‘Panoptic‘ an Oak Aged Sour Ale w/ Blueberries, Cinnamon, Cocoa Nibs, Graham Cracker & Vanilla, whilst ‘Stop Codon‘ add’s Fenugreek, & Tamarind to the mix to compliment orange zest and cocoa nibs in this bonkers (but subtle) foeder aged sour.
🇱🇻 ARPUS
Just kegs on this latest round from Arpus that includes two heavily fruited tropical sours, one session and one with the volume turned up to Imperial status. Balancing the fruit with coconut and vanilla in both really gives that full rounded sweetness without being cloying or overpowering. If pales are your world we have the ever brilliant range ‘Art #13‘, and ‘Art #12’.
🏴 BURNING SKY
If you’re looking for evocative beers fo the summer season then check in on Burning Sky. ‘Choose Any Memory‘ lets the raspberry and yeast esters do the talking. With its low hop additions and wood aged beginnings, this is classic Burning Sky. ‘ Saison Éte‘ at a sun friendly 4.2% is also highly recommended – Elderberry and Gooseberry’s tangoing in unison on your tastebuds…
🏴 HOLY GOAT
Having no issues with Trading Standards is Holy Goats ode to the sun – ‘Summer Crusher‘ a Golden Sour with sustainable Sicilian Orange and Lemon. It’s been aged for 3 months in stainless steel before adding over 80k g of oranges and lemons (70/30) which were zested, pulped and juiced by hand. Then left for a further month to condition on the spent fruit, this is a citrus forward and thirst quenching appendage for the summer season ahead.
🏴 VERDANT
Riding off the back of the brilliant dextrose free ‘Whale Sharks‘ we have re-brewed newness from Verdant, who are keeping all hands to the pumps. ‘20 Watt Moon‘ and ‘40 Watt Moon’ lead the charge, two brilliant beers with Citra and Strata that display perferct harmony between the hops. 4+ ratings on Untapped only cement the brilliance of this beer. ‘ 300 Laps Of Your Garden’ and ‘Welcome U-Turn‘ complete the line up.
🏴 THREE HILLS
There’s a nothing shy about this line up from Three Hills – from the Ahtanum hop led ‘Heidrun‘, to the moreish ‘Birthday Juice‘, to the most chocolately chocolicius version of the B.P.A.V.K – Triple Chocolate Brownie. If that wasn’t enough to get the juices going then try the B.A – B.P.A.V.K Caribbean Rum – Barrelled for a year in two Jamaican rum casks. Hit the list to see more…
