CoolHead is all about the Nordic and the exotic clashing.
In CoolHead’s beers you can taste the clean, crisp and minimalistic notes resembling the Nordic nature, but also the fresh, colourful and exciting taste of the tropics. We love their minimal v’s maximal take on brewing their beers and were one of the first Finnish breweries alongside Salama that we have imported from the region.

Self described as a ‘new wave micro brewery’, CoolHead were founded in 2016 and currently employ around twenty people. Their mission is to simply put Finland on the craft beer world map.
They are working towards their goal by only releasing interesting, top-quality beers that they love to drink themselves. Full of vibrancy and focused on drinkability, we love their playful take on beers styles.
CoolHead definitely have one of the more abstract brewhouses amidst the Distant Lands import beer roster. Their new home in Helsinki is a unique 1500 m2 glass building that used to serve as a greenhouse. The complex also hosts the CoolHead taproom and brewery shop and is a must see for any discerning and adventurous beer tourist.
Beers to look into include their ‘Smoosh’ series, that takes the drinker into a world of easy drinking, sessionable fruited sours – as well as their Heart Stone IPA, a classic West Coast base, with East Coast fermentation and hopping. For the maximalists try ‘Turbo Lover’ a 10.5% West Coast Triple IPA that shows CoolHead aren’t afraid of amping up the volume.
